What's your favourite Bond film?
|
Loads were on telly recently and I've downloaded loads of em. Not seen most of them.
Goldeneye is the best Brosnan one by a country mile, all the rest are shit. The Daniel Craig ones are really good though.
Personally would say Dr. No. Got everything in it.
You lot?
(This is related to West Ham cos of the bond scheme and cos of John Bond and Billy Bonds.)

The Spy Who Loved Me but once Craig took over, all of the previous flicks are comparatively, painfully cheesy shit.

Moonraker.
Think Craig has been the best bond. In Casino Royale when he stumbles outside after being poisoned and nearly gets run over he looks like Norman Wisdom/Robbie Williams.

Comparing different Bonds, is almost like comparing say different footballers/cricketers from different eras.
Bond films very much a product of their times.
If forced to chose a favourite, it would be You Only Live Twice. Skyfall a very close second.

I'd still say Connery was the best Bond but from a fun and humour point of view I always enjoyed the Moore films and certainly growing up "The Spy Who Loved Me" was IMO the best. Craig is very good but a different animal entirely, more related towards the Bourne films but I didn't get into "Quantum of Solace" particularly.

In some ways they are all very similar of course. Interesting that a few have said You only live twice, as many film critics have said that is the best Bond film.
Personally, my era was Roger Moore and I was gutted when he died, I'd probably say The spy who loved me is my favourite Bond.
Agree that Craig has been a great Bond, and has brought the character into the modern world.

think Craig properly LOOKS THE PART. Like he looks like a former army officer who can have a scrap and likes a drink.

After vSean Connery all the other Bond actors have been cheap imitations IMO

I liked Goldeneye in fact all of Brosnan's Bond but Connery was the best and From Russia with Love my favourite
